We're looking for Senior Mac Software Engineers to join our software development team. Our engineers develop server, desktop and handheld software. For Mac OS X we are looking for people who can really shine and know their trade. We're looking for detail-oriented professionals who have in-depth expertise and can bring ideas into reality - as applications, networked services or bridging our way to new gadgets.

We're looking for candidates with expertise in one of these three areas:

  • Mac Advanced Consumer Application Engineer
  • Mac Server Development Engineer
  • Mac Driver and Kernel Expert

Qualifications

Candidates must excel in one of the following three talent areas:

Mac Advanced Consumer Application Engineer

  • Understands how to construct a reusable, supportable and expandable consumer application architecture
  • Has the aesthetic ability to create attractive and highly usable software applications
  • Has written well abstracted libraries and components
  • Understands how OpenGL objects can interact well in a commercial software environment
  • Experience documenting and communicating components and SDKs developed for reuse

Mac Server Development Engineer

  • Understands networks service implementation on Mac OS X.
  • Has worked on cross platform implementation for network services
  • Can optimize network operations for efficiency, low memory use and performance
  • Has implemented a scalable server solution in C/C++
  • Can work with a team of engineers to create a significant and unified network architecture

Mac Driver and Kernel Expert

  • Has knowledge of low level protocols over transport such as USB and Bluetooth
  • Has written kernel extensions or device drivers
  • Has understanding of mobile devices
  • Familiarity with OPP and OBEX protocols
  • Extensive knowledge of debugging techniques and hardware
  • Understanding of low level protocols and ability to decode packets

  • Bachelors Degree and/or 5 or more years of commercial consumer/shrink-wrap software development required
  • Good debugging skills required
  • Mac OS X software development expertise required
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Palm OS, Pocket PC (Windows Mobile), Blackberry, Symbian, iPhone - as well as other handheld operating systems preferred
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving as well as solid organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working alone and/or with a team of others
  • Experience as a project lead is a plus
  • Experience as an architect is a plus
